Natura Sophia- An Exploration into Alchemy and Spagyria

Join Courtney Cosgriff and Mo Judith for a three hour hands-on distillation class and conversation on the philosophical and practical foundations of spagyric medicine through the lens of alchemy, ecology, and herbal practice.

We’ll weave together history, science, animism, philosophy and practical application

Come discuss how processes such as the water, nitrogen & carbon cycles are reflected in medicine making. We’ll offer a grounded framework for understanding spagyrics within both historical & contemporary contexts.

We will have a live plant distillation where participants will experience the creation of a true hydrosol while learning about the principles of steam distillation.
